Recently, AskMen.com wrote an article suggesting that sometimes people—specifically women– do some crazy things with their profiles. Everything from setting up a fake profile to keep tabs on an ex, posting manipulative photos of themselves or embarrassing photos of a former flame, to posting passive-aggressive status updates. Relationships (and breakups) are hard, and sometimes the availability of public communication and the urge to constantly check-up on someone or make a person jealous may threaten to overpower your sense of rationality.

However, women aren’t the only ones making a mess of their social networking profiles. Cosmopolitan’s response to AskMen suggests men can be just as guilty as women. They might handle it differently, but they’re not free from bad social networking behavior.

Cosmopolitan’s article highlights annoying things men do specifically on Facebook. From hiding their relationship status to detagging perfectly normal photos of themselves and even asking women out via wall posts. Is it really too much work to actually call a person you’re interested in these days?
