Well, my now fiancée knew I was going to ask her. She knew it was coming, but she didn't know when.

I picked a great Sushi place out to ask her to marry me. The restaurant was amazing, but she had never been there before. So before we went, she said, "You better not ask me at some stupid sushi bar."

So I didn't ask there and she was upset because the restaurant was so nice. I was in trouble, I had to think on the fly. We were moving for our job. So I figured the next morning when she was getting ready, I would slip it into her jewelry box and she would find it.

Well I put it in the box and waited in the bed acting like I was asleep. But I really did fall asleep and I put it in a jewelry box that she wasn't bringing with us on the move.

She threw it out! I spend the better part of the day in the dumpster searching for her engagement ring.
